Teachers
iQ works with schools across the London Boroughs’ and Home Counties and wants to hear from exceptional educators who are committed to academic excellence. Whether you are an experienced UK or overseas trained teacher, an NQT or are new to teaching looking for experience to support your forthcoming PGCE studies we want to hear from you.
Quality
When you register with iQ, you will find a service that is genuine and personable, dynamic and professional and above all, suited to your needs. We take the time to understand your requirements, understand your strengths and where you can best add value to a school and to the pupils alike. As a niche recruitment business we place the 'right' teacher in the 'right' role in the 'right' school! As members of the REC, we work to strict guidelines and processes which ensures a robust and professional quality service to you as a teacher as well as to our clients.
Rates of pay
As a quality recruitment business, we ensure that we comply with all relevant legislation including The Working Time Directive and The Agency Workers Regulations. As a small niche business we always look to maximise your daily rate and place importance on placing you in the 'right' role in the 'right' school.
Flexibility
Whether you like the flexibility of part-time or ad-hoc daily supply, are looking for a long term cover contract or a permanent position, as long as you are an influential, inspirational, effective and motivational teacher with excellent references we want to hear from you.
What can you expect when you register with us
After an initial telephone conversation, we will ask you for at least 2 referees (your most current teaching positions) that we can contact to gain an insight into your previous teaching experiences. When we have received those references we will invite you to our office for a face to face interview. We will always be open an honest and not waste your time if we do not feel that we can place you in your next role – we will not meet with you just to hit a target!

You will meet at least 2 consultants who will properly understand your requirements and look to match you to our client requirements. Whilst being professional at all times, we pride ourselves on a relaxed and personable registration process!

If you are experienced with registering with agencies you will be familiar with the compliance processes I am sure – you will be emailed a registration pack to complete and send back prior to our meeting and you will be asked to bring in your [original] identification documents and visas, a photo, your qualifications (including UK NARIC where necessary) and details of your professional memberships in the teaching profession as well as your Enhanced DBS if you have one. The purpose of the meeting is to fully understand your teaching requirements, your strengths and skills and to find out about you as a person – all of which will give us the best opportunity to place you in your next role.

We are a niche business where personal service is of the upmost importance. We do not have a switchboard, hold music or an answer phone. During office hours 6:45am to at least 6:00pm you will always get to speak to a consultant. Outside of office hours the office phone is diverted to a consultant’s mobile phone ensuring that you can contact someone at any time convenient to you - evenings or weekends - not a problem!!
Referrals
We pride ourselves on our reputation and a lot of our teachers come from referrals from our registered teachers. If you are registered with us and can refer top quality qualified teachers to us, we will pay you a referral fee if we place them in a supply or permanent position. Similarly, if you introduce us to a school where we make a placement you will receive a referral bonus. There is no limit to the number of referrals you can make – the more successful referrals you make, the more you can earn!! (terms and conditions apply).
Vacancies
Please see “latest vacancies” for roles we are currently recruiting for. We also advertise on various education sector job boards and in printed media. If you do not see a role for you, please contact us anyway as we have lots of good business relationships with schools where we may be able to introduce you regardless of a vacancy advertised.
